Gail Duituturaga Painter
I am an impressionist who works in that rich and magic medium of oil. Exotic things tend to catch my eye and things that are a bit nonsensical. I have two on going series centered around one of my favorite subjects, horses. They are Hawaiian parade riders know as Pa’u riders who represent the color and flora of each of the eight islands and that most beautiful of creatures, the Arabian horse. It is an ongoing project of one a year. Living in Hawaii where I grew up makes me feel that I am blessed. I realize my paintings will be around long after I am gone so I want to let the future art Acadians know who I was and what my vision of this world is. Dare I say the word ‘immortality’?
