Commissioned Works

One of the highest honors an artist can enjoy is to be commissioned to paint for a treasure public place.

Arthur Johnsen has not only been commissioned to do a variety of high level commissioned art work but was privileged to be chosen to paint Pele for the Hawaii National Park Visitors Center.  Pele being the Goddess who dwells in the worlds most famous living volcano visited by thousands from around the world each year.

Recently Arthur Johnsen paintings were installed in the large collection of Hawaii’s top artists at the new Aulani Disney Resort in Ko’olina on Oahu.
